Pilot station

Welcoming and bidding farewell to ships calling at and departing from Szczecin is a tradition that dates back to 2007.

Szczecin is one of the few ports in Europe that welcomes guests arriving in our city with a sound signal and the national anthem. The city also bids farewell in the same way. The ceremonial banner salute at the Pilot Station is often accompanied by the military passing honours to navy ships.
For sure the ceremony at the Pilot Station is memorable, and the title of a friendly port becomes ever more important.
